Donors, Sponsors & Grants
The Bay Area Crisis Nursery is a privately funded non-profit organization that receives no government funding. With an annual operating budget of just under 1 million dollars, we rely completely on donations from individuals, businesses, the faith community, clubs and organizations, private foundations and from fundraising efforts. It is through the generosity of the overall community that we can continue to provide safety for the children and support for parents during times of stress or crisis.
Testamentary gifts are an attractive way to donate to the Bay Area Crisis Nursery. The term “Testamentary charitable gifts” refers to any gift which takes place at the individual’s death. These gifts may qualify for estate tax deductions and the donor can provide for the Bay Area Crisis Nursery without losing control over their estate during his or her lifetime.
Testamentary gifts to the BACN can be in the form of a percentage of the decedent estate, or a specific dollar amount, or a specific stock, piece of property. A donor can provide an income tax benefit for his or her heirs by using his or her qualified retirement plan benefits or IRA’s as the vehicle for making charitable gifts at death.
Discuss your options with your estate planning attorney to ascertain how you can benefit your family and the BACN. Notify the nursery if you decide to make BACN a part of your estate plan. We will be starting an Angels Club for those making this choice.
